  1. Brady Ballard General Manager of the Daytona Cubs, spoke to all the students in Sep. 2013. (He was here all day.)
  2. Ms. Dumas gave a presentation to th 5th Period Marketing class on Marketing in general and marketing the Career Academies and Programs (Nov. 8, 2013).
  3. Anthony Williams SSA Student President listens to Daytona Live update at Daytona International Speedway (Nov. 21, 2013).
  4. SSA Student Executive Board meets with legenday Volusia County civil rights pioneer Dr James Huger on Nov 20 at Daytona Golf Course
  5. SSA Student Executive Board (11th and 12th Graders) attends briefing at Daytona International Speedway as they unveil Daytona live project updates Pictured is Janet Houser Project Coordinator, Daytona International Speedway Corporation

  • Ms. Dumas is presenting Career Academy information to the feeder schools as well as other middle schools.
  • Ms. Dumas presented Career Academy information on Nov. 11, 2013 to the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC)
  • Ms. Dumas presents information to parents and students at Parent Nights at the middle schools

  4. Speakers: Mr. Ballard (Daytona Cubs Manager- Sept. 2013) spoke to all of the classes and Ms. Dumas (Marketing/Recruitment of District CTE) spoke to the 5th Period Marketing class.
  5. Visible at athletic games by supporting injured players and providing physical theraphy and follow up services like ice baths.
  6. Student Ambassador-Career Academy Awards and High School Showcase
  7. SSA students hosted by Daytona International Speedway for Career and Marketing , all day event including attending Gatorade Duels race, and also drivers meeting where students were introduced to a live nationwide audience, students also met with Thunderbirds , driver Ben Kennedy and Mayor Henry, also a Mainland grad.
